Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy rooted in the science of learning and behavior. It helps us understand how a child's actions are influenced by their environment and daily routines. Our therapists at Louisiana Developmental Center use this knowledge to help individuals, especially children with autism, develop crucial life skills, improve communication, and manage challenging behaviors through positive reinforcement.
While everyone diagnosed with autism can benefit from ABA therapy, we've found that early intervention makes a significant difference. The earlier a child begins therapy, especially between the ages of 2 and 6, the more profoundly they can benefit from our programs. Our center in Opelousas, LA, is dedicated to supporting these young learners and their families.
At Louisiana Developmental Center, we pride ourselves on our personalized and supportive approach to ABA therapy. We lead and pair with each child one step at a time, focusing on their individual needs. We help manage behaviors and, crucially, prepare younger children for a smooth transition into school, setting them up for academic and social success.
